Abstract

The article discusses the use of three-dimensional (3-D) endoscopic technology in the field of skull base reconstruction techniques. The study found that primary closure without complications in all cases was obtained in 3-D endoscopic skull base reconstruction. Experienced endosurgeons also shared that the use of the technique provided improvement in depth perception, distance and size estimation, and hand-eye coordination, and helped in the identification of specific anatomic structures.
