Abstract

The article discusses the relationship between political corruption and electoral outcomes in developed and developing democracies. It is discussed that a democratic government should be accountable to its citizens. It discusses the reason as to why corrupt leaders win the elections and gain public support. The effect of political corruption on electoral outcomes is also discussed which is driven by the government's economic performance.
