Ontario's Local Immigration Partnership Councils: Renewing Canadian Multiculturalism from Below?

A conference paper related to immigration policies and increase of multiculturalism to be presented at the Southern Political Science Association is presented. It informs about the challenges faced by liberal democracies for maintaining and strengthening bonds of community in diverse societies. It also suggests that the governments should find policies and institutions that balance the legitimate claims for ethno-cultural recognition in minority groups.
