Abstract
- A conference paper about analyzing the socio-economic, political and institutional variables for explaining the same-sex marriage opposition in states of the U.S. is presented. It discusses public opinion surveys which show an increased acceptance of gays in the U.S. society over the past 30 years. It examines referendum as a democratic tool for analyzing same-sex marriage.
