Abstract

The article presents information that the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus infection in patients with the Burkitt lymphoma (HIV-BL) is a difficult challenge which requires multidisciplinary efforts and demanding strategies. It informs that the use of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) has resulted in improved tolerability and efficacy of standard chemotherapy in the HIV-positive patients with diffused large B-cell lymphomas.
