Abstract
- This article discusses the development of airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) sensors and airborne radar technology for use by the U.S. Air Force (USAF). Topics include the development of laser-based radar (Lidar) sensor technology for use in helicopter safety, the growing use of short-range, high-resolution radar systems in conjunction with infrared (IR) and visual imaging, and the announcement of U.S. radar technology exports and contracts.
