Abstract
- In this article the authors respond to criticism of their report, titled "The fluorine link between a supergiant ore deposit and a silicic large igneous province," that appeared in a 2011 issue of "Geology." Topics discussed include dissolution of rock fragments by hydrofluoric acid (HF), which the authors claim contributed to the formation of the Olympic Dam mineral deposit in Australia, evidence of fluorine (F)-rich Olympic Dam hydrothermal fluid, and breccia formation.
