Turkey and the Arab Spring.

The article focuses on U.S. military considerations relating to the wave of demonstrations called the Arab Spring that began in December 2010 in the Middle East, and the potential influence of a Turkish model of the Arab Spring following Islamic liberalism on civil-military relations throughout middle-eastern countries. The author discusses the various versions of the Turkish model, including the military control model, the Islamic power model and the youth model.
