Abstract

The article discusses the experimental developments in nuclear physics. It presents the study which investigated the shell effects on fission hindrance through the measurement of the precision neutron multiplicity excitation function. Based on the statistical model analysis of the experimental data, the strengths of nuclear dissipation for nuclei away from shell closure are very similar.
