Pattern recognition: combining informatics and genetics to re-evaluate conduction disease.

The author reflects on the concepts that dominate the classification of cardiac conduction diseases. He informs that these concepts including the sinoatrial node, atrioventricular node and proximal His-Purkinje system can be seen with a naked eye and are mostly used for building animal models. He also says that the distinctive cellular electrical properties and fundamentals of physiologic and pathophysiologic conduction can be obtained by the early physiologic data.
