Abstract

An essay is presented which discusses concepts including subject-creationism, mysticism, mystification, and the philosophical "subject." The historical de-centering of human experience and importance from cosmology is commented on, and the concept of philosophical decision enumerated by the philosopher François Laruelle, in which reality is seen as existing for the sake of philosophy rather than the reverse, is explored. The relationship between the philosophical subject and capitalism and the state is also examined.
