Reports that Louisiana state judge, Kay Bates signed an order blocking the law that would have expanded the authority of the state's Board of Regents pending the outcome of a lawsuit over its constitutionality. Expanded powers including the authority to confirm the selections of chancellors and presidents of the state's university systems; Increased authority opposed by Representative Melvin Holden.
