Clopidogrel and interaction with proton pump inhibitors: comparison between cohort and within person study designs.

The article reports on research which was conducted to determine whether pharmacokinetic interaction between proton pump inhibitors and clopidogrel lead to harmful vascular events. A comparison between cohort and within person study designs was carried out as part of the research. The results reveal that the addition of a proton pump inhibitor to clopidogrel and aspirin does not seem to cause clinical harm.
