Abstract

The article reports on research which was conducted to investigate the effect a carbohydrate, protein and ribose-containing repletion drink during eight weeks of endurance training had on aerobic capacity, endurance performance and body composition. Researchers evaluated the drink with 32 men. They found that while the drink did not augment body weight, aerobic capacity or time to exhaustion it did improve body composition.
