Abstract
- The article discusses the removal of nitrogen from the effluent of the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Dept. (RWRD) of Pima County, Arizona, and improvements to the county's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) that will be finished in 2014. Work on the improvement project, called the Regional Optimization Plan (ROMP), is being carried out by construction companies such as CH2M Hill, MWH Constructors Inc., and Archer Western. Anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic nitrogen removal methods are mentioned.
