Introduction for presidential address by Dr Paul Steinbok, President of the ISPN, 2011, Goa India, October 2011.

A biography of Paul Steinbok, 2012 President of the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) is presented. He was born in Barbados, West Indies and was the eldest of the seven children. He was awarded with a Barbados scholarship after he graduated in high school at the Harrison College. He then went to study medicine at the University of the West Indies (UWI) and was the president of the Camera Club of the university. He is distinguished for his excellence in clinical neurosurgery.
