Abstract: The article discusses a report on job creation in the U.S. during July 2012 from the Labor Department. Net new jobs totaled 163,000 on a seasonally-adjusted basis, while the unemployment rate rose to 8.3%. During the month more workers left the labor force than entered it. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day 217 points higher on August 3, 2012.
