Abstract
- The article presents a study of how a different collaborative relationship with family doctors and specialized diabetologists could lead to a reduction in recurrent appointments because of procedural errors and a reduction in the average waiting times for a specialist medical visit. It discusses the Program for Research, Innovation, Health Technology and Assessment (PRIHTA) Project launched by the Veneto Regional Government. Through the project, primary care physicians rediscovered their role.
