Abstract

The article discusses a study on the method to detect a collection of natural junction structures in the lung which is used as reliable markers to track the lung motion. Junction centers and sizes are detected by analyzing the local shape profiles on one segmented image. It also presents information on several descriptors used to analyze the motion trajectories, one of such method is applied to 13 real 4D CT images.
