Abstract
- The influence of heat treatments on the structure and the mechanical properties of a <f>Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5</f> bulk metallic glass is studied. Cyclic treatments above 480 <f>°</f>C lead to quite unchanged elastic moduli and hardness, while the thermal expansion coefficient keeps decreasing with rising annealing temperature above 460 <f>°</f>C, whereas a monotonous treatment rises respectively the elastic moduli and the hardness by 30% and 13%.
