Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the antioxidant activity and components of the butanolic extract of Chrysanthemum trifurcatum (BECT) or Asteraceae. The study used ultraviolet (UV) spectra, electron spin resonance (ESR), and Bruker ESP300E spectrometer. Results show that BECT has the ability to scavenge the radical of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH).
