The purpose of this paper is to explore -- by means of contemporary psychoanalytical theories -- the nuances and the sense of silence, of primitive, non-verbal, affective, archaic communication in the psychoanalytical work, with a special focus not only on distinguishing and analyzing the transference/countertransference movements but also on the destiny of the unheard and unsaid in creating psychic sense, as well as on the essential significance in the analyst-analysand relationship.
