Uniaxial stress experiments at the quantum phase transition of <f>CeCu6−xAux</f>

Abstract
- The resistivity <f>ρ(T)</f> of the heavy-fermion system <f>CeCu6−xAux</f> shows that for <f>x</f>=0.2 the Ne´el temperature <f>TN</f> rises under uniaxial stress <f>σa</f> parallel to the <f>a</f>-axis, in qualitative agreement with previous studies of the specific heat. For <f>x</f>=0.1, near the magnetic quantum phase transition, no hints of magnetic order are observed up to the highest <f>σa</f> of 4.5 kbar. A detailed discussion of the dependence of <f>ρ0</f> on hydrostatic and uniaxial pressure is given. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
