Abstract
- We report on the temperature dependence of resistivity <f>ρ</f>, magnetic susceptibility <f>χ</f>, and specific heat under various pressures for the single crystal of an antiferromagnet Ce2Rh3Ge5. The Ne´el temperature <f>TN</f> disappears at <f>Pc=0.45</f> GPa. For <f>P>Pc</f>, non-Fermi liquid behavior is observed in both <f>ρ(T)</f> and <f>χ(T)</f>; <f>ρ(T)=ρ0+ATn</f> (<f>n≅1.45</f>) and <f>χ(T)=χ0−DTm</f> (<f>m≅0.27</f>). Even for <f>P>3Pc</f>, both <f>n</f> and <f>m</f> hardly change, i.e., no recovery of the Fermi-liquid state. Moreover, the Kondo temperature <f>TK</f> increases very weakly from 10 K at <f>P=0</f> to 13 K at <f>P=0.57</f> GPa. These findings indicate the important role of short-range magnetic correlations in the revised Doniach phase diagram. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
