Abstract

We studied the effect of Ni incorporation on the magnetic properties of CeSbNi<f>x</f> using resistivity, susceptibility, and magnetization measurements under high pressures and magnetic fields. With pressure, <f>TN</f> increases for CeSbNi<f>x</f> with <f>x⩽0.15</f>. At the same time, pressure weakens a Cr-like anomaly found in the resistivity of CeSbNi<f>0.08</f>. While under high pressure bulk properties of CeSbNi<f>0.08</f> are very similar to those of CeSb, the pressure dependence of the resistivity and magnetization of CeSbNi<f>0.15</f> show different behavior.
