Abstract

The article discusses a study on the use of radio acoustic sounding system (RASS) with a 1280MHz lower atmospheric wind profile to preliminary observe temperature profiles at Gadanki, India. The study designs a suitable acoustic attachment to explore application of RASS technique. It reveals the presence of diurnal variation of virtual temperature Tv and the association of Tv perturbations with a precipitation event.
