Application of titanium-in-quartz thermobarometry to greenschist facies veins and recrystallized quartzites in the Hsüehshan range, Taiwan.

The article presents a study on the accuracy, reliability and best practices of titanium-in-quartz thermobarometry (TitaniQ) in greenschist facies rocks in the Hsüehshan range, Taiwan. The study measured the Ti concentrations in rutile-bearing samples of recrystallized quartzite and vein quartz from Hsüehshan range. The results showed that TitaniQ has the potential to give accurate predicted temperature (PT) information for dynamic recrystallization of quartz and vein emlplacement.
