Abstract
- The article presents information on the relationship between the U.S. and the Middle East. The authors look at the 2010 fall of the government of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri to the Hezbollah militant group, the relationship between Obama and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and the response to Iran's nuclear program by the U.S. The article suggests that counterterror cooperation between the U.S. and places such as Lebanon, Egypt, and Yemen will weaken and that the U.S. will have an ineffective response in external support, according to the authors.
