The spectral properties of polymeric compositions on the base of polyvinyl alcohol.

Synthesis of derivatives of the poly(vinyl alcohol) containing rhodamine and pheniloxazole units in a side chain is described. It was carried out our research by methods of the absorptive and luminescent spectroscopy and it was shown, that for fluorescence and long-wavelength absorption of the obtained polymers are responsible corresponding chromophoric units in a side chain. It is executed quantum-chemical calculations of absorption spectrums of luminophor in solvents of various polarities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
