Abstract
- The article presents Dottie Copoulos, the 69 year old former geriatric nurse, who is sharing her experiences associated with the diagnosis of her age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Copoulos criticizes the way her eye doctor used to tell her about her problem. Copoulos recalls how her doctor was telling her about the benefits she would receive being an AMD patient. Copoulos also reveals about daily life challenges she faces with AMD.
