Abstract

Although pancreatic cystic lesions are monitored frequently, there still occure diffuculties in the diagnosis and treatment. Most of the cystic lesions are pseudocysts and retention cysts. Basically, pancreatic cystic neoplasms can be divided into four groups: serous cystic neoplasm (SCN), mucinous cystic neoplasms (MCN), intaduktal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) and solid pseudopapiller neoplasy (SPN). The diagnosis of the pancreatic cystic neoplasms is challenging, since clinical signs and symptoms are not typical. The treatment varies across types or even sub-type of the disease. For this reason, making the differential diagnosis of pancreatic cysts is crucially important. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
