Abstract
- The article looks at the experience of the War of 1812 in Canada, where the war's 200th anniversary is being recognized in a number of events in 2012. It recounts the stories of two men in the war, Canadian Joseph Willcocks and American Duncan McArthur. Also discussed is the British Royal Navy's use of Canadian ships, including the Liverpool Packet, as privateers.
