The article presents comment on the study that determines the effect of microfabric on undrained static and cyclic behavior of kaolin clay. It recognizes the method used by the authors in using different techniques to identify the microfabric of clays, which also require enough experience to accurately interpret results. It also commends the authors for successfully demonstrating that soil with flocculent fabric exhibits higher shrinkage limit than those with dispersed limit.
