Abstract: Presents a study which investigated the stability of a crack which has nonlinear core emerging from the tip onto the plane ahead of the crack. Equation expressing a fundamental theorem in the linear elastic theory of cracks states; Discussion on energetics governing transnational instability of a crack and the incipient shear and opening cores; Introduction of the two-dimensional lattice.
