Questioning the Consensus Definition of Validity.

The article presents the author's views on the issues related to the consensus definition of validity in educational and psychological measurement and assessment in the U.S. in response to the commentaries to his focus article within the issue. He identifies important arguments involved in test validity, concepts, and interpretations in light of his proposed clarifications of the consensus definition. He also notes the conceptual and practical difficulties in the iteration of validity theory.
