Readers were asked whether they think that recent investments in the car industry can be viewed as evidence of the economy being rebalanced towards manufacturing. 37 per cent of respondents said yes, whereas 49 per cent replied with a negative. When asked whether matters that there is no domestic volume car manufacturer, 64 per cent of respondents said yes.
