Abstract
- The article presents a laboratory experiment intended for undergraduate chemistry students that introduces them to the field of conservation science in which chemistry is applied in the investigation and preservation of artistic or cultural materials. Students use X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy to analyze duplicate prints they create via scientist William Henry Fox Talbot's original silver-based photographic methods.
