1064 NM ND YAG LAZERİN SPİDER ANJİYOM, YÜZDEKİ VE BACAKTAKİ TELENJİYEKTAZİLERİN TEDAVİSİNDE ETKİNLİĞİ.

Abstract
- The aim of the study was to determinate the efficiency of 1064 nm Nd YAG laser in the treatment of spider angioma, facial telengectasia and leg varicose veins. A prospective, descrptive study was planned. The study group was constituted of 255 patients who had referred to the Dermatology policlinic between September 2006 and June 2009 with vascular lessions not previously treated. During the study, the referred 255 patients were in 14-70 years old age interval, 229 (89.8%) were female, 26 (10.2%) were male, the ratio of female/male was 8.80. Forty-two of the patients were in group 1 (spider angioma) (16.5%), 38 (14.9%) were in group 2 (facial telangiectasias), 78 (30.6%) were in group 3 (1-2 mm diameter leg veins), 67 (26.3%) were in group 4 (2.1-3 mm diameter leg veins), and 30 (11.8%) were in group 5 (3.1-4 mm diameter leg veins). In the clinical recovery evaluation, while the recovery ratio between 75-100% and 50-75% was found to be 77.3% (197 patients) and 22.7% (58 patients), respectively, the recovery ratio between 50-100% was detected to be 100%. According to the patient satisfaction, while the recovery between 75-100% and 50-75% was found to be 78.8% (201 patients) and 21.2% (54 patients), the recovery between 50-100% was determined to be %100. Our results and side effect ratios are overlapping with the literature. It was concluded that for all skin types 1064 nm Nd YAG laser was more efficient and superior in comparison with the other laser types in the treatment of vascular skin lessions.
