Abstract

The article discusses impact on future fertility after medical or surgical management of ectopic pregnancy. It necessitates proper diagnosis in selection of suitable candidates, and avoidance of tubal damage to preserve tubal function and reproductive potential. It discusses expectant, medical and surgical management, suggesting laparoscopic salpingostomy and salpingectomy as ideal means of surgical removal of ectopic pregnancies, and medical management as a safe alternative to surgery.
