Abstract

The article offers information on the erythroid hypoplasia or aplasia which is a haematological condition observed in acquired pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) and aplastic anaemia. It discusses the pathogenic mechanisms of erythroid hypoplasia have not been fully elucidated, although T-lymphocyte-mediated inhibition of erythropoiesis which is considered as the most accurate mechanism of pathogenesis.
