Abstract

The article offers information on the study that investigates the effects of live Lactobacillus (Lb.) paracasei NFRI 7415 on alcoholic liver disease. It mentions male Fischer rats that were fed with control diet (CD), ethanol diet, or ethanol diet with 20% live Lb. paracasei. It says that total cholesterol concentration in the plasma and liver of the rats reduced after the feeding of Lb. Paracasei. It states that Lb. paracasei could help adjust fatty acid composition and reduced liver damage.
