Synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial activity of thiazole, benzothiazole and pyrimidine derivatives bearing sydnone moieties.

The synthesis of sydnone sulfonamides bearing thiazole, benzothiazole and pyrimidine heterocycles is described. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, NMR and elemental analysis and evaluated for their antibacterial activity against some important Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains.
