British higher education and its older clients.

The older clients of the British higher education system are both extremely numerous and extremely diverse. In this paper we draw upon the results of a national survey of graduates to show how this diversity in terms of age and mode of study, and by implication in terms of motivation, gender and subject of study, directly impacts upon the types of outcome measurements that are appropriate and upon the levels of outcome that are achieved.
