The following study is concerned with the construction of an interdisciplinary dialogue between Law and history that recognizes the necessity of consolidating a series of investigations regarding the study of the history of law. to such an end, this study has been specially written for lawyers and historians alike, bearing in mind that the study of the history of law should not exclude one or the other, but rather that it should serve as an ideal instance for these two professions to exchange knowledge and establish dialogue. thus, the importance of recognizing the significance of the historical element in the study of law, as well as the value of acquiring new perspectives on historical and social developments involved in the making of concepts, categories, and actors within the law, is clearly restated.
