Abstract

The article reports that nearly 40% of children are being affected by allergic disease and is becoming more frequent. Sources of allergies vary from food and drugs to latex. Allergy is attributed to causing asthma, eczema and rhinitis. Food allergies reportedly affect around 8% of the children and can be difficult to diagnose. Ranging from a mild urticaria to full-blown anaphylaxis, the allergic response can vary in severity.
