Abstract

The article discusses the study "Heat Transfer Mechanisms During Flow Boiling in Microchannels," by S. G. Kandlikar. It says that the Kandlikar has derived two nondimensional groups relevant to flow boiling phenomenon in microchannels and were able to represent some flow boiling characteristics, including the critical heat flux (CHF). It adds that the use of the two nondimensional groups in conjunction with the Weber number (We) and the capillary number (Ca) were expected to provide a models.
