Animal Behavior Case of the Month.

The article presents a case study of a 6-month-old castrated male Bull Terrier that was examined due to severe tail chasing. The dog lost interest in water and food when it was chasing its tail. Physical examination revealed that there was an area of red inflamed skin at the tail's base and at the tail tip. An examination performed by a dermatologist found no abnormalities except for bilaterally very full anal glands.
