Abstract
- The article discusses the results of a study that examines the pregnancy outcome rates of women post-bariatric surgery. The study showed a significant decline in the rate of gestational diabetes in patients after a bariatric surgery as compared with morbidly and obese women. It concludes that bariatric surgery is associated with reduced gestational diabetes rate in the next pregnancy.
