Laser therapy: Role in DME?

The article discusses the presentation of Victor Chong at University of Oxford, on the role of laser treatment in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) at the American Academy of Ophthalmology's annual meeting. Chong says that laser has been using in DME treatment for a long time, while micropulse laser for more than 10 years. He references the RESTORE study included 345 patients with visual impairment resulting from DME treated by laser. He also stresses the efficacy of micropluse laser.
