Abstract
- The article focuses on the paper by H. S. Rhee and B. F. Pugh on the initiation of the transcription of DNA into RNA. It says that the promoters which are sequences specifying the start of the transcription of DNA into RNA were analyzed by the researchers. It adds that a misnomer is revealed in the TBP-binding sites in TATA-less promoters. Moreover, the gene looping which is the formation of a physical linkage between the beginning and end of active genes is the second hypothesis of the author.
